June Favourites

June has come to an end and that means Summer is officially underway! It's hard to believe that we're halfway through the year already though. Wasn't Christmas, like, last week? It feels that way anyway!

Here's what I've been loving throughout June:

bare minerals eyeshadow

Bare Minerals Loose Eyeshadow in 'Bahamas'
This eyeshadow shade is so pretty and pigmented. It's perfect for everyday makeup looks because it's really easy to apply and adds a small pop of colour. I just put a bit onto my finger and sweep it all over my lid - simple! It's been great for the days that I couldn't be bothered to do much eye makeup (which was basically everyday).

sleek solstice

Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette
I raved about this in my review earlier in the month and I've been loving it so much that I've been wearing it all the time. It's a beautiful palette and if you want to hear more of my thoughts on it you can check out my review here.

bourjois foundation

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum
I used to use this foundation all the time before I started to use the Nars Sheer Glow. However, I've recently rediscoverded it and I've fallen back in love with it. It's a light, hydrating foundation that's perfect for Summer! I like how it has a lighter coverage than the Nars Sheer Glow as I prefer a lighter foundation in the Summer. It smells really good too!

Gossip Girl
Ahh yes, Gossip Girl. The TV show with so much drama it makes Eastenders seem boring. I've started watching this again as I didn't have time with school and exams and I'm currently on season 3. Even though I saw a spoiler on Twitter and now know who the infamous Gossip Girl is, I still enjoy watching it to see all of the characters and their relationships progress, particularly Chuck and Blair, the ultimate relationship goals!

iphone and headphones

In terms of music there hasn't been a specific artist or album I've been loving this month, but my top 3 songs of this month have been 'Can't Stop The Feeling' by Justin Timberlake, 'This is What You Came For' by Calvin Harris ft. Rihanna, and 'Hair' by Little Mix. All of these songs are really up beat, great for singing along to and they make me want to dance - everything I look for in a song to be honest. I know these feel good songs are going to be the soundtrack to my Summer!

Summer Style with Boutique of Molly

Hello! It's been a while. Now that all of my exams are over I have more time to dedicate to my blog and I can't wait to get stuck into writing posts this summer.

As my Summer has officially started now, I thought I would do a post on Summer style, and I'm very excited to say that this is my first ever collaboration! When Boutique of Molly contacted me asking if I wanted to collab, of course I said yes! I jumped straight onto their website to have a browse and fell in love with so many items (dresses and playsuits in particular). All of the items on the website are very affordable and, when ordered by 3pm, the next day delivery really is next day - a rare luxury for those of us in Northern Ireland. They also deliver worldwide which is great!

I decided to pick up this gorgeous 'Asia' floral embroidered cut out detail dress. It's a really pretty floaty skater dress which is perfect for the summer time!

It's not your typical white sun dress; the floral embroidery on the front give it a pop of colour and, is it just me, or does the blue and white remind anyone else of Greece? The triangle cut outs at the waist also add a little something extra to the dress and the lace up detailing at the side, along with the blue tassels, make it incredibly cute and unique! I love that this dress has adjustable straps as those of you, like me, who are not blessed in the chest area will know the struggles of finding a dress that actually fits round the top.

The weather here in Northern Ireland has been beautiful recently so I'll definitely get a lot of wear out of it. It will be really nice to throw on on one of those really hot Summer days with a pair of tan sandals. I also think it would be perfect for holidays as it would look incredible with a tan. I can imagine myself wearing this out for dinner in the evenings with a pair of tan wedges.

You can find this dress and more lovely clothes on the Boutique of Molly website!

Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette | Review

sleek solstice

I had been dying to get my hands on this palette for a while now. I had seen it online and after swatching it in Boots one day, I knew I had to get it. After asking and it being out of stock so many times, I finally got one! *does happy dance*

sleek solstice

The palette contains 1 cream highlighter and 3 powder highlighters in 4 pretty colours. I find it very handy that on the back of the box they have recommended where to use the highlighters. For example, they recommend using the cream highlighter on your brow bone. My favourite shades are the baked highlighters, 'Hemisphere' (the lilac shimmery one) and 'Equinox' (the copper coloured shimmery one). They're both absolutely gorgeous and I can see myself using them all the time.

Of course, as soon as I got home from picking it up I had to put it on and take a few selfies to see how it looked. I was very impressed with it! It caught the light beautifully and gave my face the most gorgeous glow. The highlighters are extremely pigmented as well. I was actually quite surprised at just how pigmented this highlighter was; the quality of it reminds me more of a high end highlighter without the high end price - it was only £9.99!

The packaging is amazing as well! It's very sleek (see what I did there?) and it makes it look a lot more expensive than it was. It comes with a little brush as well, but I find it much easier to apply  using my fingers.

I really love this highlighting palette and I know I'm going to be getting so much use out of it this Summer because I love a good highlight, particularly during the Summer months. I think it's definitely worth the price and I can't wait to try out some more of Sleek's products if they are as good as this one! These photos of the swatches really don't do it any justice. In person, they're a lot more vibrant, but not so much so that you end up looking like a disco ball.

Have you tried this highlighting palette?

May Favourites

It's time for another monthly favourites already? It's scaring me how quickly this year has been going! It's June though and that means that it's nearly summer, yay! Here are a few things that I've been loving this month.

benefit roller lash

 Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
I'm pretty sure this mascara has been in one of my previous favourites posts, but I've been loving it this month again. It makes my lashes appear a lot longer and curled than they are. I've actually been asked while wearing it if I had false lashes on!

eylure false lashes

Fleur De Force Eylure 'Fleur Loves' False Lashes
These lashes look lovely, they are so fluttery! I had never tried 3/4 length lashes before, but I think I'll be reaching for these over full length lashes! They're so much easier to apply than the full length ones. Usually, I could stand for about half an hour (not even an exaggeration) before getting them to sit perfectly, but I whacked these on in a few minutes!

revlon colorstay foundation

Revlon Colorstay Foundation
I bought this foundation for nights out, so I got it about 3 shades darker than my skin tone so that it would match my fake tan. I was looking for something high coverage that wouldn't dry out my skin and this foundation was perfect! It covered all of the imperfections on my face, but left it feeling hydrated and looking glow-y. It also didn't feel heavy or cake-y on my skin. I may have to purchase this in my natural colour because I think it will be perfect for summer, especially as it contains spf 20, something that none of my other current foundations have.

shawn mendes

Shawn Mendes
I have been absolutely loving Shawn Mendes this month! I've had his album 'Handwritten' on repeat all month and this became the soundtrack to my revision. It made revision a little bit more bearable for me. A few of the songs that I love in particular are 'Imagination', 'Never Be Alone', 'A Little Too Much' and 'Life of the Party'.

What have you been loving this Month?
