Music Monday | My Current Top 5 Songs

I've been absolutely loving music that has been in the charts recently and it's been so hard to to choose just 5 songs to add to this list. There were a couple that just missed out. If I were to write a list of all the songs I'm currently loving, this list would be extensive!  I've been loving songs with more chilled, acoustic vibes (as you'll see with most of the songs on this list).

So, here's my current top 5 songs:

Say You Won't Let Go - James Arthur
"I'm gonna love you til my lungs give out, I promise til death we part, like in our vows."
How can you not love this song? It's so beautiful and James Arthur's voice is so nice to listen to; I've been listening to this on repeat! If a man sang this to you would you not marry him on the spot?

When You Love Someone - James TW
"It don't make sense but nevertheless, you gotta believe us, it's all for the best."
Another chilled song that I've been loving. This is really catchy and I love singing along to it. Again, I really enjoy listening to James TW's voice and I think it's a song that could resonate with quite a lot of people.

This Town - Niall Horan
"If the whole world was watching, I'd still dance with you, drive highways and byways to be there with you."
Aww wee Niall! How could I not add this song to this list? Told you I was loving the more acoustic sound at the moment. Niall's voice is beautiful and I really like the lyrics. I'm sorry to any directioners but I think I prefer Niall solo!

Mercy - Shawn Mendes
"Consuming all the air inside my lungs, ripping all the skin from off my bones, I'm prepared to sacrifice my life, I would gladly do it twice."
Shawn is killin' it at the moment with his new album and his singles. I love Shawn's voice so much and I seem to like pretty much every song he releases so there was no doubt that this song would be on this list.

Shout Out To My Ex - Little Mix
"Guess I should say thank you for the hate yous and the tattoos, oh baby I'm cool by the way, ain't sure if I loved you anyway."
This is the only song that isn't chilled. In fact, it's nowhere near chilled at all! This is a really feel good song and I have to belt the lyrics to this out at the top of my lungs. If I had just broken up with a boy, this would definitely be my f-you break up song haha!

What songs have you been loving recently?

October Favourites

Long time no blog! I've been super busy recently with university assignments (they don't break you in easily do they?) and socialising with my friends and flatmates that I haven't gotten a chance to write! I can't believe October is over already - it's crazy! There have been a few things that I've been loving throughout the month so I thought I would share them with you.

Make-up Revolution Matte Eye Shadow Palette
I had been looking for a matte eye shadow palette for a while that wouldn't break the bank (I'm a poor student now, you know?) and when a friend recommended the Make-up Revolution palettes I picked one up. For only £4 it's actually pretty good! It's not incredibly pigmented, but it creates a soft matte eye look, which is exactly what I wanted for a daytime eye look.

Dove Moroccan Body Oil
This has been a favourite of mine since about August. I use this in the shower and it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth. It has also replaced conditioner as my go-to for shaving my legs; it  leaves my legs feeling so soft after shaving. I love it!

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
In October I stopped using my Real Techniques sponge (purely because it was ready for the bin) and used the Expert Face Brush for the first time in over a year. Usually, I prefer the finish that I get with a sponge and it takes less time to blend foundation than with a brush, but I've actually been loving spending a bit more time on my foundation and the finish that this gives. I definitely noticed a difference in how my foundation looked - it was a lot less cake-y.

Make-Up Revolution Setting Spray
I've been looking to try the Urban Decay setting spray for a while but, honestly, I couldn't justify spending £22 on a setting spray (see my point about being a poor student in my first favourite). I spotted this setting spray in Superdrug for a fiver and picked it up, not really expecting it to make much of a difference to my makeup. However, I've noticed that my makeup does stay on for longer after spraying it with this. I've been using it before all of my nights out and I haven't really needed to powder when I've been out!

Ardell Demi Wispies False Eyelashes
After hearing people rave about these lashes for years on Youtube and in blog posts, I finally decided to pick up a pair. The glue is amazing! It's the best false eyelash glue I've ever used and the lashes look really natural and pretty. I'll definitely be repurchasing these in the future.

Barry M Lipstick in 'Obsessed'
This is a matte pink toned nude lipstick that I find to be very long lasting on the lips; my sister even noticed how long lasting it was while I was wearing it. For me, it's the perfect nude colour as I prefer my nudes to be pink toned rather than brown. It dries  my lips out a little bit, but what matte lipstick doesn't? I've been wearing this a lot throughout October and I'll probably continue to do so in November. I might even have to pick up some more shades of this lipstick.

Colgate Max White One Toothpaste
Recently I've noticed my teeth have been looking a little bit yellow (I blame it on all of the tea that I've been drinking since moving to uni) so I had been looking at different options for teeth whitening that wouldn't cause lots of sensitivity. My sister introduced me to this and I noticed results from the very first use. My teeth are definitely looking whiter than they previously were and my confidence is raising because of it also!

What were you loving in October?
