Faux-Chella: My Perfect Music Festival

If you know me or you've read some of my previous posts, you'll know that I'm a huge music lover and there's nothing I enjoy more than going to concerts and festivals.

When I saw that TickPick, an American company which allows music and sports fans to purchase and sell concert tickets and NFL tickets online, was running a Fauxchella dream festival line up, I jumped at the opportunity because it seemed like it'd be so much fun to do!

There are so many different artists from different genres that I would love to feature in the one festival, however there would've been far too many for one poster! So, I decided to make my dream festival with some of my favourite bands.

Of course, me being the big fan of All Time Low that I am, I had to make them the headline act. I know that they're amazing live, I love their music and I think they're really good at interacting with the crowd - something that I love when I'm at concerts. Twenty One Pilots, 5SOS, The Vamps and Panic! At The Disco are another 4 bands that I've seen live before. Like All Time Low, I know that they are incredible live and I'd love to hear them again. All of them in one concert would just be perfect!

I also had to be a little bit patriotic and add in the Northern Irish band, Snow Patrol. I've loved them for years and although we're both from Northern Ireland, I've never seen them perform live (only received a phone call from my sister whilst they were performing). Kodaline are another band, this time from the Republic of Ireland who I'd love to see live. The lead singer has a really original voice and they write such beautiful songs.

I can only imagine how amazing the atmosphere would be whilst The Killers are performing. I could imagine the whole crowd screaming out their lyrics, because who doesn't know their biggest tunes like 'Mr Brightside', 'Are We Human' or 'Somebody Told Me'?

I was very disappointed when I couldn't see Busted on their 'Pigs Can Fly' tour as they were one of the first bands I liked as a child, so to hear them play some of their best songs, such as 'Year 3000', 'What I Go To School For' and 'Crashed the Wedding', at a festival would be amazing.

It seems like everyone and their grandmother likes The 1975, and I am no exception. I feel like at a festival they would get the whole crowd pumped up as most people (if not everyone) would know their songs such as 'Chocolate' and 'The Sound'.

What would be your perfect music festival?

My Favourite Youtubers!

It's safe to say that I, like many people nowadays, watch quite a lot of Youtube. It's the perfect way to pass hours online getting hair, makeup and clothing inspiration, discovering new artists while listening to amazing covers of songs, or having a good laugh while watching people do some ridiculous (but highly entertaining) challenges. So, I thought I'd share some of my favourite Youtubers with you!

Fabulous Hannah
Hannah makes lifestyle and beauty videos with the odd haul thrown in here and there. Hannah's videos are always so entertaining and she's so bubbly! Hannah seems like such a lovely, genuine person and I feel like I know her personally just by watching her videos as it always seems like she's just having a chat with a friend in her videos.

Beauty Spectrum
Beauty Spectrum, otherwise known as Molly, makes beauty and fashion videos as well as vlogging. I've been loving her videos recently, particularly her daily summer vlogs that she's been doing! Molly's recently reached 30,000 subscribers on her channel and I'm so happy that her channel is doing so well as she's so lovely and obviously puts a lot of work into her videos.

Velvetgh0st
Gabbie is a beauty, fashion and lifestyle vlogger who has also done a few singing videos. Gabbie is so honest with her viewers, sharing huge parts of her life such as various pieces of surgery that she has had done. Due to this I find her to be such an inspiring person! She also has the cutest cat, Nelly, who often makes appearances in her vlogs and sometimes her main videos.

Jazzybum
Jasmine makes DIY and life hacks videos which are really interesting and original. I love getting new ideas after watching her videos. Some of my favourite videos that Jasmine has made are her surprise hauls from her boyfriend. Jasmine also seems like such a lovely, bubbly person in all of her videos.

Sophie Foster
Sophie is another beauty and fashion vlogger whose videos I love. Her makeup tutorials are incredible and her eyebrows are all of the goals! I love Sophie's style and her hauls always make me want to shop. I can also really relate to her love of sunsets and highlighter on a spiritual level.

Zoella
I couldn't leave Zoe off this list could I? She's one of the biggest British youtubers and one of the very first youtubers (if not the first youtuber) that I started watching years ago! I love her videos and I'm so proud of everything that she's accomplished during her time on Youtube, from her books to her beauty products and everything in between.

Tanya Burr
Another of the first Youtubers I remember watching, Tanya has been a favourite for years. I love watching her beauty, fashion and baking videos (many of the looks and recipes I've tried to recreate at home). I also love that Tanya has started the 'Time For Girls' campaign and is using her huge social following for great causes such as this.

Conor Maynard
This guys voice is incredible! I love how Conor covers popular songs but puts his own spin on them. I also really like watching videos of other Youtubers (such as his brother Jack's) that he makes appearances in as he's so funny and always manages to make me laugh. I'd love it if he started making other videos on his channel as well as singing videos purely for that fact.

Jack Maynard
Jack Maynard (Conor's brother) makes challenge and comedy videos. Just like his brother, Jack is extremely funny (is it a Maynard thing?) and I never watch one of his videos without laughing. Videos with both Jack and Conor are the ones I look forward to the most - those two together? Twice as funny!

The Saccone-Joly's
The Saccone-Joly's are my family goals! Emilia and Eduardo are two of the cutest children that I've ever seen and I love the relationship that Jonathan and Anna have as they're so supportive of each other. I also think that they're really brave for vlogging their lives as I'm sure it's a hard thing to do.

I hope you enjoyed reading about just a few of my favourite Youtubers!

Summer OOTD

The beautiful weather has finally returned which means I can crack out the shorts and tops again!

Recently, I've become a lover of crop tops, so when I saw this cream crop top with tassels on the Boutique of Molly website, I knew I had to pick it up.

This crop top is very light weight and floaty, making it perfect for the Summer and the current heatwave we're having! Even though it's really light, the material is a very nice quality. The top of this contains elastic which is great as it stretches to fit you, therefore it actually fits properly at the top. The tassels along the bottom hem of the top make it a little bit more unique and this, along with the embroidered floral detailing makes it incredibly cute!

I've paired this with a pair of light blue denim shorts from New Look and jelly shoes from asos. I think these look really nice together and it's very summery. This outfit would be perfect for a festival as the top screams festival with the light, loose material and the tassels. I'll also be wearing this on my holidays. I've worn this top with my mom jeans from asos as well (which I'm loving at the moment) and my white converse - simple but stylish.

You can find this top and more on the Boutique of Molly website here.

Tanya Burr Soft Luxe Matte Lipstick | Review

I was very excited when Tanya Burr, one of my favourite Bloggers/ Youtubers announced her new Soft Luxe matte lipsticks as I love wearing matte lipsticks because they tend to be more durable and I prefer how they look on my lips. I also really like Tanya's lip glosses, so I couldn't wait to try these!

I ordered the shades 'Puppy Paws' and 'Martha Moo', and my first impressions upon receiving the lipsticks were that the names are incredibly cute, the packaging is gorgeous and the shades are very pretty.

'Martha Moo', which is possibly the cutest name for a lipstick ever, is the one that I was most looking forward to getting. It's the perfect nude shade for me that seems to have both brown and pink tones to it. I've been reaching for this shade everyday as it's so wearable. I think this would look amazing with lined lips to get the perfect 90s look.

I was also looking forward to receiving the shade 'Puppy Paws', however I was quite disappointed when I tried it. This shade is way too pink for me. When I saw it in the tube, I didn't expect it to be such a vibrant light pink colour, something that I can't pull off at all! I also found that this shade didn't apply as evenly as 'Martha Moo' and after one coat the colour looked quite sparse in some areas, so I had to apply two coats.

Overall, I do like the formulation of the lipsticks and once they've dried in they do not budge, even when eating and drinking. They are quite drying on the lips though, so I'd recommend using a good lip balm before applying them, but that's to be expected with any matte lipstick. I'll definitely be wearing 'Martha Moo' all the time, but I probably won't wear 'Puppy Paws'...

Have you tried anything from Tanya's Soft Luxe range?

Me Before You | Film Review

I went to see this film the night it came out and intended to get this post up soon after, but here I am, a month later, posting this.

I'm one of those people who loves watching movie adaptations of books. However, I'm also one of those people who gets extremely annoyed when the film doesn't stay true to the book. Can you relate?

I was super excited to see 'Me Before You' after reading the book, but honestly, I was scared that it wouldn't live up to the book and be a complete disaster. I was wrong to be scared though - it was great!

First of all, the casting was brilliant! I couldn't have picked a better cast to play the characters; Emilia Clark and Sam Claflin (such a beautiful man!) were perfect in the roles of Louisa and Will, and they were basically how I imagined the characters to be in my head. They made me love the characters even more than I already did. The only thing was, in the book, the character of Patrick was, to put it bluntly, a lot more of a dick than he was in the film and he annoyed me a lot more throughout the book. I can forgive them for that though as his character added a lot of comedic elements to the film and Matthew Lewis portrayed his arrogance and jealousy well while making it humorous at the same time.

Also, the film stayed very (although not entirely) true to the book. I understand not every little detail from books can be put into films, otherwise they'd run on for hours, but they did ignore an entire character (Will's sister)... I was pleased with how true they stayed to the book though, only missing out a few minor details and using lots of direct quotes from the book! What more could I ask for? It's probably one of the best film adaptations of a book I've seen!

Another aspect of the film that I have to rave about is the soundtrack. It includes songs by Ed Sheeran, The 1975 and Imagine Dragons which fit with the story-line perfectly and help to elicit the emotions that the filmmaker wants us to feel, such as happiness and unfortunately sadness.

Just like the book, the film had me laughing, smiling and crying in the cinema! Yes, I cried in the cinema. I honestly had tears in my eyes from the first mention of those ridiculous bumblebee tights.

I would definitely recommend seeing it, but I also recommend reading the book (which you can read my review of here) before seeing the film as I always find it better to imagine everything yourself first. But that's just me.

Have you seen the film or read the book? What did you think?
